About me
Here’s the quick version…I’m a stay-at-home wife and mother. I bake for fun, which kind of sucks because my metabolism isn’t amused. Luckily I’ve got two teenagers at home who are happy to eat the chocolate-covered fruits of my labor!
Aaaaannnnnnd….now the longer and more obnoxious version. This is a pet project for me. It’s more of a distraction, really. I’m a life-long baker, that’s true, but I’m also at that age of my life where things are changing and rapidly. It’s that change we’re all supposed to embrace and find positive things to say about ourselves and fall in love with the new woman we’re becoming and all that crap. For some of you reading this, you’ll understand immediately what I’m talking about; others will be scratching their heads, assuming I’m crazy and never, ever come here again. But I’m in that place where my children are getting older (my oldest practically has one foot out the door already), they don’t need me as much (which is both great and terrifying at the same time), and my body feels like it’s falling apart so I figured “why the hell not?” There are a crap-ton of other food blogs out there and Lord knows most people behind them are waaaaayyyyy more gifted than me. I’ll NEVER be as talented with a camera or put together food so stylishly but, like I said, pet project, so it’s all good. Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough and I’ve got a shepherd’s pie in the oven that needs to come out and a teenaged daughter who’s currently mad at me (for what I have no idea) and a teenaged son about to come home from Tae Kwon Do, and a hungry husband to boot, so that’s the long and ugly version of me. Enjoy! 🙂
